The first time I took an Avara Lan bracelet into the sea, I was slightly nervous. Not about it breaking — more the feeling of letting go. Knowing it should hold up, but waiting for the first confirmation.
Water moved through the woven gaps. The wax cord got wet. The color didn't change. The clasp felt slightly cold but held firm. I waded in, swam, let the waves push me back to shore.
It dried faster than I expected. Polyester wax cord has low water absorption, and after a fresh-water rinse and air drying it quickly returned to its familiar feel.

That bracelet has been with me through several cities, several swims, several weekends in the sun. The color is slightly richer than when I started. The cord has a little age to it. But the clasp still holds, the weave is still tight.
